Job Purpose:
The Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the store and delivering service excellence. This role involves leading the store operations team to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets, contributing to a competitive advantage for the Clicks brand.
Job Objectives:

Drive and maximize sales performance by tracking daily, weekly, and monthly targets, and taking proactive action as needed to achieve financial objectives.

Manage and control all operational activities within the store, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administrative tasks.

Oversee the execution of visual merchandising in-store, ensuring that presentation and promotional standards align with the brand image.

Lead and motivate a team of employees through effective recruitment, management, and development, building the capability to meet current and future business needs.

Schedule staff in line with the Group’s labor policy, ensuring that departments are appropriately staffed at all times.

Ensure efficient administrative processes, including the timely completion and submission of weekly time and attendance and employee records to HR.

Implement customer service initiatives and take corrective actions that improve the customer experience, drive customer loyalty, and meet club card participation targets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders such as center managers, suppliers, and DCs to achieve business objectives and capitalize on opportunities.

Stay aware of customer trends, demographics, and local competitor activity to identify opportunities and enhance the customer experience.

Foster collaboration and integration between the store operation, pharmacy, and clinic teams to ensure smooth business operations.

Promote a high-performance business culture that enhances employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:

Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)

Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in Retail/Finance Management, Pharmacy, or a related field (External applicants)

Essential: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment, or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme

Essential: Financial management experience, including budgeting, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios
Job Knowledge and Skills Required:

Strong retail/FMCG background, with knowledge of merchandising and promotions principles

Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures
