Job Purpose:
To oversee the efficient operation of the store, ensuring service excellence by leading and directing the store operations team to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets. This will contribute to establishing a competitive advantage for the brand.
Job Objectives:

Drive the store’s financial performance by maximizing sales, tracking daily, weekly, and monthly targets, and proactively taking necessary actions to meet them.

Effectively manage and control all operational activities, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping, and administration.

Oversee the in-store execution of visual merchandising, ensuring that presentation and promotional standards are met and the store’s appearance aligns with the brand image.

Ensure that employees are competent and motivated by managing the selection, leadership, and ongoing development processes to build the capacity and capability required to meet current and future business needs.

Schedule staff appropriately in accordance with the Group’s labour policy and relevant labour models to ensure departments are fully staffed.

Efficiently manage administrative responsibilities, including ensuring that time and attendance records, as well as employee records, are completed and submitted to HR.

Implement customer service initiatives to ensure an outstanding customer experience, drive customer loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders (centre managers, suppliers, and distribution centres) to ensure business objectives are achieved and opportunities are maximized.

Stay aware of customer trends, demographics, and needs, and monitor the activity of local competitors to capitalize on business opportunities.

Foster cohesion and integration between the store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.

Promote a high-performing business culture that enhances employee affiliation, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.

Education and Experience Requirements:
-
Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
-
Essential: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in retail/finance management, pharmacy, or a related field (External applicants)

Minimum 2 years of experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG environment, or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme

Experience in financial management, including budgeting, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios

Job Knowledge and Skills Required:

Strong understanding and application of financial management principles
-
Solid retail/FMCG background and knowledge of merchandising and promotional principles
-
Familiarity with stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures

Expertise in customer service excellence

Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices

Competency in conducting interviews based on specific competencies

Strong managerial, problem-solving, and organizational skills
