Job Objectives:

Drive and maximize store financial performance by achieving sales targets and tracking daily, weekly, and monthly plans. Proactively take appropriate actions as required to meet objectives.

Efficiently manage all operational activities of the store, including controlling expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping, and administrative tasks.

Oversee the in-store execution of visual merchandising, ensuring the store’s presentation and promotional standards align with the brand image.

Ensure the development and motivation of employees through effective selection, leadership, and ongoing development to meet both current and future business needs.

Manage staff scheduling in accordance with the Group’s labour policy and labour model to ensure the store is appropriately staffed.

Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently, including managing time and attendance records and submitting them to HR.

Implement customer service initiatives that foster a great customer experience, driving customer loyalty and achieving club card participation targets.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders (centre managers, suppliers, DCs) to achieve business objectives and maximize opportunities.

Stay informed about customer trends, demographics, and local competitor activities to capitalize on business opportunities.

Foster cohesion between the store, pharmacy, and clinic teams to ensure smooth operation.

Promote a high-performing business culture that encourages employee affiliation, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.

Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer by embodying and promoting the company’s values.
Knowledge:

Solid understanding of financial management principles

Strong background in retail/FMCG with knowledge of merchandising and promotions

Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years in a store management role within a retail/FMCG environment or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
-
Financial management experience, including budgeting, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios
Education:
-
Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
-
Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in retail/finance management, pharmacy, or a related field (for external applicants)
