Job Description:
BUCO is seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our Blackheath location. In this role, you will drive profitability, oversee daily operations, and ensure the store meets its strategic goals by managing resources, engaging customers, and optimizing stock and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Profitability: Ensure the store’s growth and profitability by managing costs, maximizing sales, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Planning & Budgeting: Develop and implement operational plans in partnership with the Operations Executive and Regional Operations Manager.
  • Procurement & Stock Control: Oversee inward logistics, maintain optimal stock levels, and manage procurement according to company policies.
  • Financial Management: Compile and monitor the store budget to align with operational goals and control financial processes.
  • Customer Service: Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently; coordinate promotions, advertising, and public relations to strengthen brand presence.
  • Daily Operations: Take accountability for store operations, administration, customer service, and overall branch management.
  • Operational Analysis: Analyze business performance to identify areas of improvement and share insights with Operations Management.
  • People Management: Inspire, lead, and develop the store team, applying best practices and company policies to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and corporate governance standards.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent experience
  • Financial or Management diploma preferred
  • 5-10 years of retail experience with at least 3 years in management
  • Industry-related experience and strong financial acumen
  • Experience in logistics, procurement, and merchandising
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act preferred
