DisChem Vacancies – Store Cleaners (Fixed Term) -Malvern-Queensburgh

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking experienced Store Cleaners for their Malvern store. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly store environment according to Dis-Chem’s hygienic standards. This includes cleaning the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen areas.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
• Strong command of the English language
• Basic customer service skills
• Additional language(s) specific to the area
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Bilingual
• Previous retail store cleaning experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a daily high standard of hygiene and cleanliness across the store, shop floor, and communal areas, completed before the store opens.
• Develop and follow cleaning routines to ensure all areas remain at the required cleanliness standard.
• Maintain cleanliness in the canteen and restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary products at all times.
• Be available to assist with cleaning during operational hours as required.
• Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
• Display the wet floor sign when cleaning floors to ensure safety.
• Be friendly, professional, and assist customers when needed.
• Perform cleaning duties in line with Health and Safety Regulations.
