Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking experienced Store Cleaners to join our team at the Ring Road store. As a Store Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a clean and neat environment throughout the store, in line with Dis-Chem’s high hygienic standards. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in various areas, including the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, including the shop floor and communal areas, before opening hours.
• Establish cleaning routines to ensure all areas are maintained to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure the canteen and restrooms are cleaned regularly and always have the necessary supplies.
• Be available during store hours to handle cleaning tasks as required.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks to maintain hygiene and safety.
• Place “wet floor” signs when cleaning to avoid accidents.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting them as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience
• Good command of the English language
• Basic customer service skills
• Willingness to work retail hours

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual proficiency
• Previous experience in retail store cleaning
