DisChem Vacancies – Store Cleaner-(Fixed Term Contract) Blue Route Mall

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Cleaner on a fixed-term contract for the Blue Route Mall, Tokai store. The role is responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in accordance with Dis-Chem’s standards. Cleaning duties will cover the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Basic customer service skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Bilingual proficiency
• Previous experience cleaning in a retail store

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the store, shop floor, and communal areas before the store opens.
• Implement cleaning routines to ensure all areas are consistently maintained.
• Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with supplies.
• Be available throughout operational hours to assist with cleaning as needed.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
• Display the wet floor sign visibly when cleaning the floor.
• Assist customers in a professional and friendly manner when required.
• Comply with Health and Safety Regulations at all times.
