Job Description:

As a Store Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring that company standards for housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

• Banking: Manage cash handling and banking procedures.
• Relief Duties: Step in as Store Manager when needed, ensuring smooth store operations in their absence.
• Housekeeping & Merchandising: Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and adherence to company policies.
• Shrinkage Control: Implement strategies to minimize stock loss and manage shrinkage effectively.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company procedures and policies.
• Staff Management: Assist in managing and training staff, ensuring effective front-end controls and cash office oversight.
• Customer Service: Implement sales initiatives to achieve store targets and enhance customer service levels.

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics is an advantage) or NQF Level 4.
• Experience in managing a team and department.
• Previous experience in clothing retail is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and administrative skills.
• Proven decision-making, organizational, and planning abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and integrity.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to maintain productivity.
