We are seeking a dedicated Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager and uphold our high standards of store operations. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth store management, from banking to maintaining store standards, and contributing to achieving store targets.

Responsibilities

• Store Management: Relieve the Store Manager in their absence and ensure the store operates smoothly.
• Standards Maintenance: Uphold company standards for housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company procedures and policies.
• Staff Support: Assist in managing and developing the store team.
• Front-End Controls: Ensure all front-end controls are effectively implemented.
• Cash Office Oversight: Oversee cash office operations and minimize stock loss.
• Customer Service: Drive sales initiatives and deliver exceptional customer service to meet store targets.

Qualifications

• Education: Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics an advantage) or NQF Level 4.
• Experience: Previous experience in managing people and departments; experience in clothing retail is highly advantageous.
• Skills: Strong communication and administrative skills, decision-making ability, organizational skills, planning, and leadership.
• Attributes: Enthusiastic, ethical, and honest with high integrity. Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on maintaining productivity.
