Job Description
Join Mr Price as a Store Assistant Manager and play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager to ensure smooth store operations. You’ll be instrumental in upholding company standards in housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, and security while driving customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Banking: Manage cash handling and banking procedures.
• Store Management: Relieve the Store Manager in their absence and assist in daily store operations.
• Standards Maintenance: Uphold company standards for housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company procedures and policies.
• Staff Management: Support the Store Manager in managing staff, including training and development.
• Front-End Controls: Ensure effective front-end controls are implemented and maintained.
• Cash Office Oversight: Oversee the cash office operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Stock Loss Prevention: Implement measures to minimize stock loss and enhance store profitability.
• Customer Service: Drive customer service initiatives to meet store targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics is an advantage) or NQF Level 4.
• Experience: Previous experience managing people and departments, with a strong preference for clothing retail experience.
• Skills: Strong communication, administrative, decision-making, organizational, and planning skills.
• Attributes: Enthusiastic, ethical, with great integrity and honesty. Proactive and self-motivated with leadership qualities.
