Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations. This role involves upholding company standards in various areas and ensuring the smooth running of the store in the Manager’s absence.

Responsibilities:

• Banking and Cash Management:
  • Oversee banking procedures and manage the cash office.
• Store Operations:
  • Relieve the Store Manager and manage store operations efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures and policies.
• Team Management:
  • Assist in managing and developing staff.
  • Implement and maintain front-end controls.
• Sales and Customer Service:
  • Introduce and drive sales initiatives to achieve store targets.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries effectively.
• Stock Management:
  • Monitor and minimize stock loss.

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics an advantage) or NQF Level 4.
• Previous experience in a management role, particularly in a retail or clothing environment, is highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills.
• Proven ability to make decisions, plan effectively, and maintain productivity.
• Enthusiastic, ethical, and self-motivated with a proactive approach.
