DisChem Vacancies – Store Admin Manager-Benmore (Testing)

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Store Admin Manager for the Benmore store. This role involves managing, implementing, and maintaining company administration policies and procedures while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures that support store profitability.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • At least 3 years of retail experience in receiving, front shop operations, customer service, human resource management, and store administration
  • Minimum of 2 years’ management experience leading a team of around 8 employees
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Availability to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • Diploma/Degree in Financial, Administration, Retail, or Business Management
  • Working knowledge of SAP and retail operation systems

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager with daily operations and overall store optimization
  • Manage goods in transit according to company procedures
  • Monitor branch shrinkage and consumables expenses to align with store objectives
  • Drive and track new customer loyalty sign-ups
  • Oversee human resource processes, documentation, and submissions in compliance with company policies
  • Manage and take ownership of the workforce management system (KRONOS)
  • Implement and maintain performance management systems as per company guidelines
  • Supervise store cash resources and daily takings
  • Ensure transaction integrity through monitoring and compliance with internal control procedures
  • Manage cashier service levels and productivity
  • Oversee goods receiving functions, including direct and indirect credits, staff mentorship, and performance development
  • Ensure transaction accuracy for incoming goods and outgoing returns in compliance with company procedures
  • Assist in budget preparation and maintenance within the store

Competencies

Essential:

  • Experience in store retail administration and management, including receiving, capturing, till operations, cash office, and customer service
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Basic financial skills, including gross profit calculations, mark-ups, and VAT
  • Ability to interact effectively with suppliers, management, reps, and staff
  • Strong analytical and time management skills

Advantageous:

  • Basic knowledge of industrial relations and management training
  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Leadership skills

Special Conditions of Employment

  • Local travel may be required – valid driver’s license and reliable transport
