Shoprite is seeking a Stock Controller to ensure accurate stock management, efficient processing of deliveries, and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive goods by verifying deliveries against invoices.
• Capture invoices promptly and correctly in the system.
• Ensure delivered goods match invoice details, including quantity, variant, and condition.
• Process returns to suppliers in line with company SOPs.
• Maintain an organized and orderly storeroom.
• Assist in managing and monitoring high-risk stock items.
• Identify stock discrepancies and report them to management.
• Return unordered or damaged goods and complete credit notes as per company policies.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy boxes and offloading pallets.
• Assist in other operational duties as required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification (essential).

Experience

• At least one year of relevant experience in a retail or FMCG store operations environment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of stock management principles in a retail/FMCG setting.
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Office 365.
• Knowledge of SAP system functionality.
• Strong numeracy skills and effective communication skills.
