SAB Vacancies – Stock Clerk

SAB is seeking a Stock Clerk to join our team. The Stock Clerk is responsible for ensuring all governance processes and documentation are adhered to for accurate reflection of all physical movement of inventory in MES. This role also involves assisting with distribution activities as needed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee all raw material movements from intake to malt production to ensure accurate stock levels.
    • Monitor the supply of malt raw materials to production, collaborating with the Inventory Controller and Operators.
    • Ensure the correct SKUs are available at the right time and place for production.
  • Production Planning
    • Develop production schedules for weekly and daily malting operations that align with Central Planning’s requirements while considering production constraints.
    • Adjust production schedules as necessary to optimize resources and meet production goals.
  • Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to the Africa Zone Inventory Control Policy through weekly and monthly engagements with stakeholders.
    • Support the implementation of VPO standards and drive logistics performance at the plant.
  • Operational Support
    • Create Maintenance Work Orders and manage loss and waste.
    • Assist with various distribution activities as required to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • National Diploma in Stock Control (advantageous)
  • 2-3 years of experience in a stock control environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and sound knowledge of SAP R3
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage self
  • Strong team player with good customer ethics
