Fidelity Vacancies – Signal Management Technician

Position Overview:
Fidelity Services Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Signal Management Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is the installation and maintenance of electronic equipment for the security industry at commercial and industrial premises.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electronic Security Technician
  • Experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault-finding
  • Valid code 08 driver’s license
  • PSIRA registration (Grade C)
  • Basic understanding of electronics
  • Knowledge of DSC, IDS, and PARADOX systems

Job Requirements & Other Attributes:

  • Able to perform fault finding on existing equipment
  • Ability to service and maintain electronic security equipment
  • Must be able to work standby shifts as and when required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):

  • Program systems according to client specifications
  • Plan cable runs with wiremen and ensure installation meets standards
  • Obtain customer codes before attending calls, daily and when on standby
  • Complete handovers and job cards after each installation
  • Provide feedback to the Manager/Supervisor and Call Centre upon completing a call
  • Keep stock up to date and assist with stocktakes as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle
  • Submit petrol slips for reimbursement
