Short-term Insurance Sales Consultant: Sanlam Direct Cape (PG 7)

What will you do?

  • Sell short-term insurance (car and household) via telephone.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and objectives.
  • Adhere to quality and compliance processes to minimize business risks.
  • Monitor and manage performance against benchmarks.
  • Optimize operational efficiency based on productivity metrics.
  • Adapt to evolving business operational needs.
  • Handle customer complaints and objections professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay informed on product updates, rate changes, and industry rulings.
  • Continuously upskill on industry trends and developments.
  • Comply with FAIS Fit & Proper qualification requirements.

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualification & experience

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience in an outbound sales call center OR 2 years of face-to-face sales experience (target-driven).
  • Financial services experience (advantageous).
  • RE Exam (advantageous).
  • Personal Lines NQF Level 4 or 30 FAIS Credits with a certificate (required for short-term insurance).

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong understanding of financial services laws and regulations.
  • Proven sales and customer service expertise.
  • Outbound sales experience is essential.
  • Fluent in English and one other South African official language.
  • Clean criminal and credit record.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
