Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide top-notch service to enhance the shopping experience. Assist customers in finding products, address queries, and handle complaints professionally.
- Cashier Duties: Efficiently process cash and card payments, handle lay-bys, manage refunds, and balance tills. Report discrepancies and issues to the supervisor.
- Merchandising: Ensure stock is accurately priced, well-displayed, and readily available on the sales floor. Maintain store cleanliness and stay updated with current promotions.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company tagging policies, participate in stock takes, and monitor for shoplifting or fraudulent activities. Report any suspicious behavior to management.
- Company Values: Uphold Ackermans’ values, policies, and procedures in all aspects of your role.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Customer Service: Excellent skills in providing customer service.
- Communication: Fluent in English (additional languages are beneficial).
- Attributes: Tenacious, high energy, and highly motivated.
- Experience: Previous retail experience is advantageous.
