Job Objectives:
The Shop Assistant / Cashier is responsible for executing all operational activities at the point of sale in an efficient and timely manner. This includes maintaining high accuracy when scanning merchandise, collecting payments, and processing clubcard rewards. The role also involves ensuring the safe handling of cash at all times, promoting the Clicks clubcard, and enrolling new members to meet participation targets. Additionally, the Shop Assistant / Cashier will inform customers of ongoing promotions to drive sales and ensure they have a positive shopping experience. Superior customer service is a key aspect of the role, with a focus on acting as a brand ambassador and offering friendly, professional service. The role also includes maintaining store merchandising and housekeeping standards, and keeping up-to-date with product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
