Job Advert Summary:
Clover is seeking a SHEQ Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental, and Quality systems within our business unit. This role will be pivotal in ensuring adherence to standards and promoting a culture of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Management: Develop, implement, and manage the Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) systems within production. Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, ISO 45000, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Procedures and Validation: Ensure correct procedures are followed regarding change control and that validation studies for equipment and processes are complete. Report on changes affecting SHEQ and food safety.
- Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify and address SHEQ issues, ensuring adherence to legislation and standards. Support resolution with specialist knowledge and implement mitigation measures.
- Training and Compliance: Verify training related to SHEQ standards is completed. Conduct quarterly meetings to ensure alignment between branches and oversee training and development of production staff.
- Communication and Support: Provide support to production regarding trials, processes, and new implementations. Ensure effective communication of updates and manage product recalls and withdrawals.
- Audit Facilitation: Facilitate and ensure compliance with SHEQ audits, maintaining documentation and addressing corrective actions from previous audits.
- Incident Management: Investigate and report on SHEQ incidents and complaints. Implement corrective actions and support root cause analysis.
- Staff Management: Oversee staff management, including training, discipline, and performance evaluation. Ensure effective communication and optimal staff utilization.
Requirements:
- Education: Honours Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in FMCG, with a strong background in SHEQ management and senior management interactions.
- Skills:
- Intermediate computer literacy.
- Code 08 Driver’s License.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, action-oriented with a focus on influencing and leading change.
