Job Description:
Fidelity Services Group is seeking a Settlements Clerk to join our Operational Finance division. Reporting to the Settlements Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to ensure the settlement of all customer accounts in line with company policies, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and efficiency in meeting client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all clients are paid accurately on a daily basis
- Credit the correct amounts to the correct clients
- Process and check all payments throughout the day
- Adhere to strict daily payment deadlines
- Handle client queries via phone and email
- Liaise with cash centers and reconciliation departments
- Manage recoveries of incorrect payments
- Prepare and release manual payments
- Manage exception devices, escalations, and payments
- Fulfill settlement functions on alternate weekends
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12, preferably with Mathematics and Accounting
- Previous experience in a Cash Management Centre is highly beneficial
- Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel
- Exposure to and experience with banking systems
- Knowledge of administrative and reconciliation procedures
- Understanding of Cash Management Centre processes
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures
- Availability to work on alternate Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays
