Job Purpose:
The Service Advisor at Bela Mall is responsible for ensuring service excellence at the point of sale by providing fast and efficient customer service while overseeing point of sale (POS) operational activities.

Job Objectives:

  • Efficiently manage and control all operational activities at the point of sale, ensuring smooth and timely execution.

  • Ensure effective and secure management of stock and cash, minimizing shrinkage and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and administration.

  • Train, motivate, and guide shop assistants and cashiers, ensuring they are competent and focused on delivering exceptional service.

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for shop assistants and cashiers in line with work schedules, company policies, and labor legislation.

  • Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally, following company policies.

  • Drive the promotion of the Clicks ClubCard to meet participation targets.

  • Implement and maintain security measures, cash controls, and stock return policies to minimize stock losses and ensure a secure POS environment.

  • Provide superior customer service by being visible and offering a friendly and professional service as a brand ambassador.

  • Support the company’s vision of being the first-choice health and beauty retailer by living the company’s values.

  • Stay informed about products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12

  • Desirable: Maths (50%) and English (50%) at Grade 12 level

  • Essential: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (for external applicants)

  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, overseeing a team within a retail/FMCG store operations environment

  • Experience in numeracy and stock management

Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of financial management principles

  • Retail/FMCG experience with knowledge of merchandising and promotions

  • Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures

  • Expertise in customer service excellence

  • Knowledge of labor legislation and industrial relations (IR) practices

  • Familiarity with competency-based interviewing

  • Results-driven with sound managerial and problem-solving skills

  • Planning and organizational capabilities

  • Strong customer orientation and communication skills

  • Proficiency in computer literacy and numeracy
