Job Purpose:

The Service Advisor at Bela Mall plays a key role in delivering service excellence at the point of sale. This includes ensuring fast, efficient customer service and overseeing the operational activities of the point of sale (POS).

Job Objectives:

  • Efficiently manage all POS operational activities, ensuring timely and effective execution.

  • Safeguard the management of stock and cash, minimizing shrinkage while maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and administration.

  • Train, motivate, and guide shop assistants and cashiers to ensure they are competent and capable of providing exceptional service.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels of shop assistants and cashiers in line with the work schedule, company policies, and labor legislation.

  • Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally in accordance with company policies.

  • Promote the Clicks ClubCard to meet participation targets.

  • Enforce security measures, cash controls, return policies, and other administrative duties to minimize stock losses and uphold security procedures at the POS.

  • Act as a brand ambassador, delivering superior customer service by being visible, friendly, and professional.

  • Support the company’s vision of being the first-choice health and beauty retailer by embodying and promoting company values.

  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Grade 12

  • Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level

  • Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (preferred for external applicants)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, overseeing employees in a retail/FMCG environment

  • Experience in numeracy and stock management

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of financial management principles

  • Experience in retail/FMCG with knowledge of merchandising and promotions

  • Proficiency in stock, cost, risk, and compliance management

  • Strong focus on customer service excellence

  • Understanding of labor legislation and industrial relations practices
