Senior Portfolio Manager – Outsourced Business
Santam Broker Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Outsourced Business team within the Portfolio Administration & National Brokers business unit. This role is based in Hill on Empire.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Identify, prospect, and secure new strategic binder partnerships and Administrator binder partnerships for our Outsourced Business.
- Conduct market research to uncover partnership opportunities in the short-term insurance sector.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads through networking, outreach, and industry engagement.
- Develop and refine growth strategies for the Administrator Business to align with Santam’s objectives.
- Manage and expand selected Administrator Portfolios to drive premium growth.
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory updates to capitalize on opportunities.
- Support the CPM Migration Project by resolving key operational challenges.
- Implement best practices within the Outsourced Business framework.
New Strategic Binder Opportunities
- Source and secure new strategic binder partnerships to expand market presence.
Administrator Binder Business Channel
- Prospect and onboard new Administrator Binder opportunities.
- Achieve aggressive growth targets in Personal and Commercial Lines.
- Optimize underwriting performance and streamline business processes.
- Develop retention strategies and competitive intelligence.
- Monitor data exchange to track profitability and growth.
- Ensure alignment on pricing, risk, and compliance across Administrator Binders.
- Drive client-centric risk management solutions and facilitate data-sharing initiatives.
- Oversee claims, underwriting, and finance alignment between Binders and Santam.
CPM Conversion and Migration
- Act as a champion for CPM Migration, ensuring smooth coordination between finance, underwriting, and claims processes.
Outsourced Business Support in Best Practice Management
- Assist the Executive Head: PA & National Brokers in process optimization, risk mitigation, and governance enforcement.
- Provide operational support to ensure seamless Outsourced Business functions.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
- 5–7 years in Outsourced Business management.
- 10 years in Short-Term Insurance, covering Personal & Commercial Lines.
- Proven ability in governance, risk management, and financial oversight.
- Experience in claims handling, procurement, and stakeholder negotiations.
