Job Overview
As the Senior Manager – Prepaid Product, you will drive the strategic implementation and management of MTN SA’s Prepaid Products and Value-Added Services (VAS). Your mission is to enhance revenue, profitability, customer experience, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) by managing core product portfolios (Voice, Data, and International Calling), non-core portfolios, and value-added services.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Implement MTN SA’s Prepaid Products and VAS strategy, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy and divisional goals.
- Develop business plans and secure required resources to achieve objectives.
Governance and Reporting
- Participate in operational, tactical, and governance meetings.
- Manage escalations, propose solutions, and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
- Provide detailed reporting on performance metrics, risks, and progress of Prepaid segment initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Drive the execution of product enhancements and new product launches in line with the product roadmap.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects across cross-functional teams, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the lifecycle.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to recommend and implement innovative product improvements.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with stakeholders across Commercial, Technical, and Quality Assurance divisions to deliver market-ready products.
- Align with Marketing and Brand teams to develop effective Go-To-Market strategies and drive customer awareness.
Performance Management
- Monitor team KPIs, compliance with SLAs, and implement improvement plans for enhanced efficiency.
- Promote continuous innovation and digital adoption to meet margin improvement targets.
Budget Management
- Oversee budgets for the Prepaid Products and VAS division, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Approve expenditures and ensure adherence to financial objectives.
Key Qualifications
Education
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (3 years)
- Preferred: Honors or Master’s degree
Experience
- 7+ years in a global or multinational business environment (telecom experience advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years in managerial roles, with 3 years in a relevant sector.
- Proven track record in operational marketing, change management, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Deep understanding of telecom marketing processes.
