MTN is seeking a Senior Manager – Business Operations to lead the strategic planning and execution of business operations for the Software Engineering Centre of Excellence. This role requires expertise in resource management, process optimization, and commercial operations to drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies to align with business objectives and enhance integration across teams.
• Optimize resource planning and workflow processes to maximize efficiency and performance.
• Implement risk management strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies.
• Oversee business operations, including process execution, incident management, and workflow optimization.
• Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance business integration and drive operational excellence.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery.
• Manage key projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Work closely with finance teams to conduct cost-benefit analyses, budget forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
• Develop performance metrics and KPIs to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA in technology management is preferred.
• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in business operations.
  • At least 4-5 years in a leadership role, with a focus on commercial strategy and business process optimization.
  • Experience in software engineering or the technology sector is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in project management, process improvement methodologies, and business operations management.
  • Expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and incident management frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret technical and financial data to drive strategic decision-making.
