MTN is looking for a Senior Lead – Project Lead Customer TFLS, Technology Information to oversee and manage ICT customer order deliveries from initiation to completion. This role focuses on ensuring seamless implementation, superior customer service, and revenue realization while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning:
- Contribute project management expertise to pre-sales processes for ICT customer RFPs/RFQs.
- Ensure alignment between approved service orders and proposed solutions.
- Validate solution BOQs in collaboration with Solution Architects.
- Develop end-to-end project plans, risk reports, communication strategies, and installation schedules.
- Assess engineer availability, vendor capacity, and equipment lead times for seamless execution.
- Secure approvals and sign-offs for finalized project plans.
Project Execution (Order Implementation):
- Validate order details, site locations, and customer expectations.
- Organize and lead project kick-off meetings, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Manage coordination between MTN functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Initiate projects in workforce management systems (e.g., Remedy).
- Assign work orders, initiate purchase requisitions, and oversee vendor coordination.
- Monitor risk and issue management throughout implementation.
- Maintain effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Ensure smooth order closeout, customer acceptance, and documentation sign-offs.
- Oversee the verification of the first services bill and prepare project closeout reports.
Customer Relations:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to drive retention.
- Keep all stakeholders informed about project progress.
- Facilitate customer/vendor workshops and post-implementation support.
- Maintain professional engagement with engineering teams.
Project Governance:
- Provide timely and accurate internal project reports.
- Escalate issues to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between implemented solutions and billing processes.
- Enforce adherence to SLAs/OLAs in collaboration with Vendor Management and Procurement.
- Manage third-party vendors, from order placement to service delivery.
Leadership:
- Motivate and manage project resources to exceed performance expectations.
- Conduct active vendor performance management.
- Identify process and service delivery improvements.
- Promote teamwork, employment equity, and diversity.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff.
- Uphold MTN’s brand values and foster a high-performance culture.
Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze relevant data for reporting.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Matric plus a 3-year Degree or Diploma in Project Management (an Engineering or Technical qualification such as CCNA is advantageous).
- Certification in Prince2 Practitioner or PMP.
- ITIL Practitioner certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of ICT project management experience, including managing teams or virtual teams of engineers.
- Background in enterprise service provider environments.
- Experience with Cisco & Huawei Router technologies.
- Proven track record in implementing projects involving WAN connectivity, cloud security, unified communications, and IoT solutions.
