Shoprite is seeking an experienced Senior Group Compensation Execution Specialist to manage employee compensation processes, ensure policy compliance, and support strategic compensation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations related to package structuring, compensation execution, and data administration while ensuring adherence to policies and timelines.
• Advise businesses and colleagues on status change requests, including package calculations, benefit allocations, and allowances, while collaborating with recruiters on appropriate package structures.
• Manage the execution of annual salary increases and bonus processes, including the distribution of letters.
• Review and monitor annual share allocations and oversee the vesting process.
• Verify participant eligibility for dividend payments, process payment details, and manage share dividend pricing.
• Work closely with the Reward Solutions team to address inquiries and implement changes related to share schemes.
• Maintain compliance and effective relationships with Share Scheme Administrators (Investec).
• Review and approve car allowance extensions and other compensation-related considerations.
• Ensure adherence to compensation data standards and governance structures.
• Analyze risks related to compensation execution and implement mitigation strategies.
• Identify opportunities for integration and improved workflow with other business functions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field (essential).

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum of four years in a senior compensation execution role, with expertise in compensation advisory services within an HR or finance environment (essential).
• Experience in the FMCG or retail sector (preferred).
• Candidates without a degree may be considered based on practical experience and a proven track record in compensation execution best practices.
• Strong knowledge of compensation execution within a retail environment, including associated challenges (essential).
• Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations (essential).
