Job Description:

Buco is seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Security Checker to join our team in Grahamstown. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and accuracy of goods leaving our premises.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Goods Verification: Thoroughly check all goods leaving the premises, including both shop and yard areas, ensuring they match supporting documentation.
2. Sales and Returns: Verify that all sales and returns are accurately documented and matched to the correct paperwork.
3. Customer Documentation: Ensure that credit customers sign Proof of Delivery (POD) notes and that cash customers have fully paid for their goods before leaving.
4. Suspicious Activity Reporting: Immediately report any suspicious behavior or activities to management.
5. Adherence to Policies: Arrive on time for duty and strictly follow all company policies and procedures.
6. Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle checks upon entry to the premises, noting the contents for security purposes.
7. Boom Management: Manage and control boom movement to ensure the safe entry and exit of vehicles.
8. Visitor Log Maintenance: Accurately complete the visitor’s book daily, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and correct.
9. Upholding Company Values: Consistently promote and uphold the company values and culture in all interactions.

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12
• Experience:
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a hardware environment.
