Rand Water Vacancies – Secretary – Glenvista, Gauteng

Rand Water is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Secretary to provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operations within the Project Control Department.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Secretarial / Administrative Qualification
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management
  • 4 years of working experience in an administrative assistance environment
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Experience with SAP Project System, Investment Management (Costing), Materials Management, CATS, Cost Centre Expenditure, and Profit Centre Expenditure

Primary Duties:

  • Evaluate and submit reports to various committee levels
  • Provide administrative assistance to support all approved projects within the Project Control Department
  • Order and maintain stationery for the office
  • Assist with arranging meetings and functions, including booking venues (internal and external), making travel arrangements, organizing refreshments, sending invitations, confirmations, etc.
  • Report on project progress and generate SAP reports
  • Keep both soft and hard copy filing systems up to date
  • Scan documents and file according to agreed principles
  • Manage correspondence, take minutes, and type documents as required
  • Maintain a working knowledge of corporate and departmental information systems
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for department staff
  • Ensure financial records for the department are properly filed and up to date
  • Perform any additional administrative duties as required by the department

  • Proficient in computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing programs
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures
