Main Purpose of Job:
As a Sales Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities by performing comprehensive risk assessments to understand clients’ needs. You will create effective links between identified risks and the solutions our group can provide to mitigate them. Additionally, you will be responsible for compiling, costing, and presenting proposals to potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Localized Security Schemes, housing estates, and new commercial complexes to deliver comprehensive security solutions, including:
- Guarding
- Electronic security systems (alarm installation, monitoring, armed response)
- Bicycle patrols
- CCTV
- Access control
- Electric fencing
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum requirement: Matric (Grade 12), with preference for a tertiary qualification.
- Marketing diploma or degree is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of the guarding industry and electronic security systems.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle are compulsory.
- Valid PSIRA Grade C certification is essential.
- Previous sales experience in alarm and/or security guarding with a strong track record.
- Familiarity with risk assessment fundamentals.
- 4+ years of sales experience preferred, particularly in customer solution sales.

Duties:
- Sell tailored security solutions to residential and small commercial clients.
- Drive technical revenue through effective solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities through leads, networking, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers of new housing/security estates and commercial complexes.
- Attend operational meetings for Local Security Schemes, Homeowners Associations, and Estates.
- Cultivate partnerships with security contractors (e.g., fencing, access control).
- Obtain endorsements from Homeowners Associations for ADT services.
- Conduct site surveys, prepare quotes, and perform after-sales site visits.
- Monitor and assess changing client needs and security trends through discussions with customers, developers, and project managers.
- Report on leads, new business opportunities, and growth tracking to the Head of Sales Department.
- Participate in sponsored events and community engagements to enhance company visibility and public relations.
- Provide feedback on competitors, customer needs, and security trends to the Head of Sales Department.
- Drive business growth within the security/housing estate market.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reports and liaise with the legal department for site-specific SLAs.
- Keep detailed records of all site documentation and drive app adoption within scoped solutions.
- Integrate risk assessment findings into client presentations, maintaining an awareness of the latest crime trends and technology changes.
- Assist operational teams in producing risk assessment and benchmarking documentation.
- Conduct yearly risk assessments for select clients, offering new solutions and recommendations to improve services.
- Support operations managers with site-specific SOPs and training requirements.
