Are you a proactive and solutions-driven risk management professional? Boxer Superstores is seeking a dedicated Risk Officer to join our team at our Head Office in Westville. In this vital role, you will support the Group Risk Manager in building, implementing, and maintaining a strong risk culture in alignment with our Risk Committee’s standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Risk Management.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Risk Management role.
• Membership with the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) is advantageous.
• Exposure to the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Forward-thinking, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in report writing and presentation preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously update the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework to ensure it remains effective and relevant.
• Collaborate with management to identify potential risks and controls, including emerging risks that could impact operations.
• Keep risk registers updated and track the progress of action plans to mitigate identified risks.
• Prepare clear, accurate risk-related content for reports, presentations, and meetings.
• Develop and implement risk awareness programs that promote a proactive risk culture throughout the organization.
• Support various projects by identifying risks and providing solutions to ensure successful execution.
