Job Description
The Revenue Accounting Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate reconciliation, recording, and reporting of revenue by managing daily transaction settlements across multiple payment channels and supporting financial close and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities

Reconcile daily merchant settlements and transaction reports across multiple payment gateways and banking platforms.

Ensure complete and accurate revenue recognition in line with internal controls and accounting standards.

Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between internal systems, payment processors, and bank statements.

Monitor pending, rejected, or failed transactions and follow up to prevent revenue leakage and processing delays.

Prepare, maintain, and file detailed reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Validate and process merchant commissions, fees, and adjustments accurately on a monthly basis.

Ensure all calculations align with contractual terms and financial policies.

Support month-end and year-end close activities by compiling reconciliation summaries and performing variance analysis.

Provide clear financial insights and reconciliation reports to management as required.
Job Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (Essential).

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (Advantageous).

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial, reconciliation, or revenue assurance role.

Experience in aviation, travel, e-commerce, banking, payments, or merchant processing environments.

Proven experience in daily reconciliation of high-volume transactions.

Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.

Experience supporting month-end close activities and audit preparation.

Willingness to work overtime when required.

Working knowledge of payment platforms and electronic transaction systems.

Strong understanding of financial reconciliation principles and processes.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, and data validation.

High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reconciliation deadlines.

Effective communication and documentation skills.
