Introduction:
SPAR Lowveld, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd., is looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to lead one of our stores in Nelspruit. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with a passion for customer service, sales growth, and operational excellence.

Job Description:
As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer service, and increasing profitability. You will develop strategies, implement store policies, and lead marketing programs aimed at expanding the store’s customer base and ensuring operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor gross profit margins and actively drive store sales to exceed targets.
  • Lead initiatives to grow the existing business and identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Manage store budgets, setting clear goals and targets for all departments.
  • Oversee the performance and development of teams across various store departments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction.
  • Maintain and uphold the store’s brand quality and standards.
  • Design and execute marketing strategies to boost sales and attract new customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational standards, maintaining excellence in store operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric certificate.
  • A relevant retail qualification will be an advantage.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a senior store management position.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and business growth.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and assertiveness.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with staff and customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Inherent Job Requirements:

  • Availability to work irregular hours as required by store operations.
  • Valid South African driver’s license.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Willingness to relocate if needed.
