Dischem Vacancies – Retail Store Assistants

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking enthusiastic Retail Store Assistants to join our Ring Road store. If you’re passionate about retail and customer service, this role is for you. As a Retail Store Assistant, you’ll be a key player in maintaining store operations, assisting customers, and ensuring a high standard of service.

Responsibilities Include:

• Building positive relationships with customers, addressing their inquiries, and resolving complaints or issues.
• Handling customer stock queries and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Managing refunds, returns, and cash transactions with accuracy.
• Assisting with daily operational tasks, including stock control and cash management.
• Collaborating with the Receiving Manager on inventory and distribution claims.
• Maintaining effective communication with customers and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
• Previous retail experience is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of retail administration and operations.
• Team player with strong customer service skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain high ethical standards.
• Ability to manage time effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Conditions:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• MIE clearance, with no criminal or credit record.
• Driver’s license and/or reliable transport.
