G4S is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Regional Technical Manager l Expression of Interest l KwaZulu Natal. This role reports to the National Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing technology operations within the region, including routine and ad-hoc maintenance, installation projects, and driving sales and profitability.

This position requires at least three years of management experience in a related industry, with preference given to individuals with Electronic Security Services Management experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage contract financial performance, focusing on profitability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and oversee gross margin management.
Control overhead costs and ensure contract profitability.
Conduct regular customer risk assessments to minimize company claims.
Oversee revenue growth, contract cash flow, and invoice accuracy.
Ensure proper allocation of staff, liaise with subcontractors, and support staff development.
Implement succession planning and employment equity initiatives.
Conduct performance assessments and ensure adherence to company policies.
Maintain quality control processes, oversee project workflows, and ensure successful contract execution.
Maintain client retention, manage service levels, and ensure regular customer meetings.
Identify new business opportunities and assess the competitive landscape.
Requirements:
Minimum three years of management experience in Electronic Security Services or a related industry.
Strong technical knowledge of database implementation, including Microsoft SQL and Interbase/Firebird.
Experience in implementing and managing CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
Sales experience in large corporate projects and control room services.
Financial management experience.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of time and attendance, access control, and CCTV software.
Proficiency in communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
Knowledge of various security hardware, including alarms, electric fencing, gate motors, intercoms, and PA systems.
Experience in communication protocol wiring such as CAT5.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Proficiency in conflict resolution and professional management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and computer literacy skills.
Understanding of South African security legislation, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Ability to drive change, assess risks, and develop strategic objectives.
