Shoprite Vacancies – Regional People Partner

Purpose of the Role: Shoprite Cash and Carry is seeking an outgoing and passionate individual to provide comprehensive Human Resource support across multiple branches. As a Regional People Partner, you will be responsible for delivering efficient HR services and ensuring optimal HR practices within your assigned regions. Your experience in retail HR, deep knowledge of labor legislation, training, and talent acquisition will be crucial to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales and profit generation while ensuring maximum utilization of labor within budget guidelines.
• Apply industrial relations practices effectively across regional management.
• Manage staff competency levels and ensure alignment with sales demands.
• Ensure compliance with personnel administration standards.
• Provide HR support, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

Qualifications:

• Essential: 3-year National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or Labor Legislation.

Experience:

• Essential: Generalist HR experience with a strong background in retail.
• Desirable: HR experience specifically within a retail environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Essential:
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources legislation, policies, training, recruitment, and HR strategies.
• Desirable:
  • Familiarity with CCMA operations.
