Purpose of the Job:
Shoprite is seeking a dedicated Regional Manager to oversee all Meat Markets within the assigned region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of activities and produce, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, managing promotional activities, and reporting on sales performance. This role requires effective leadership and administrative skills to ensure the smooth operation of all Meat Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Monitor and ensure the quality of activities and products in all Meat Markets within the region.
- Stock Management: Oversee and manage stock levels across the region, ensuring adequate supply and optimal inventory management.
- Hygiene & Safety: Implement and maintain hygiene and safety processes in accordance with industry standards.
- People Management: Lead, develop, and manage staff within the region, fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
- Promotional Activities: Drive and manage regional promotional activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives and maximizing impact.
- Sales Reporting & Administration: Report on all sales activities and complete necessary administrative duties for the region.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Grade 12 or equivalent
Experience:
- Essential: Minimum of 2 years of management experience in the Meat Industry, including butchery operational experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Essential:
- In-depth knowledge of meat cuts and products
- Understanding of industrial relations (IR) practices
- Familiarity with FMCG principles
- Expertise in merchandising standards and principles
- Knowledge of Meat Market operations, hygiene, and safety standards
