Fidelity is looking for a Regional Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations, ensuring vehicle availability, efficiency, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and analytical skills to optimize fleet utilization and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Operations Management:

  • Collaborate with Branch and Operations Managers to ensure efficient fleet performance.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and pre-trip inspections to enhance vehicle efficiency.
  • Oversee servicing, mechanical maintenance, and tyre management.
  • Control fleet department activities, ensuring compliance with performance standards and deadlines.
  • Work to reduce motor vehicle accidents within the region.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure prompt service.
  • Keep detailed records and reports for proactive planning and decision-making.
  • Authorize procurement and cancellation of fuel cards while monitoring fuel consumption.
  • Analyze vehicle monitoring data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce all fleet standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Financial Management:

  • Plan for capital purchases, asset management, and lease vehicles.
  • Approve procurement and maintenance expenses within the region.
  • Work closely with the Finance department to monitor expenditure and invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with the three-quote system for all purchases.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost management.

Employee Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance:

  • Promote a Zero Harm culture and implement safety initiatives.
  • Ensure fleet compliance with legal and safety regulations.
  • Manage accident investigations and implement corrective measures.

Human Resource Management:

  • Engage with employees to ensure optimal performance and satisfaction.
  • Recruit and develop talent in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with direct reports.
  • Maintain a well-staffed department with the necessary equipment and training.

Customer Service & Fleet Efficiency:

  • Minimize vehicle downtime and ensure timely maintenance.
  • Plan and execute maintenance schedules efficiently.
  • Ensure all fleet modifications, including tracking units and branding, are completed as scheduled.
  • Address and resolve vehicle-related customer complaints.

Performance Standards:

  • Monitor and analyze motor vehicle accident trends.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of fuel card usage and vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with regional and branch management on fleet performance.
  • Develop cost-reduction initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Ensure all safety programs align with the Zero Harm strategy.
  • Enforce compliance with HR policies and procedures.
