Pick n Pay Vacancies – Receiving Manager

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Manager to oversee the accurate receipt of deliveries, manage returns, and minimize shrinkage risks. The role also involves handling all administrative functions related to receiving procedures, including visitor and merchandiser entry control.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Grade 12
  • 1 – 3 years of working experience, including experience as a Receiving Supervisor
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting reports
  • Valid South African ID (attach copy to application)
  • Valid Driver’s License Code 08 (attach certified copy of license)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systematically and accurately receive and return goods according to company policies and procedures
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet standards
  • Maintain the cold chain and uphold hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards
  • Adhere to security procedures and assist with security protocols at the back door
  • Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damage to goods
  • Complete all relevant administration and documentation
  • Operate equipment following established standards
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work long or variable hours
  • Ability to work in physically demanding and pressurized conditions
  • Capable of handling goods in various weather conditions
