Tiger Brands is looking for a Raw Materials Coordinator: Culinary to oversee the inbound operations and ensure efficient management of raw materials and packaging for the Boksburg site. This role involves leading the inbound team, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, and driving continuous improvement in material handling processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the receiving of raw materials and packaging, ensuring adherence to SOPs.
- Lead and coach the inbound team, ensuring accountability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee material call-offs from suppliers and external warehouses.
- Ensure scheduled treatment of dry beans and manage fresh vegetable supply to minimize waste.
- Monitor and report on inbound KPIs, providing feedback to the team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Manage the onsite pallet repair center and CHEP equipment.
- Oversee returnable flow processes and coordinate credits with the accounts department and suppliers.
- Ensure timely and accurate transactions to support MUV reporting.
- Supply materials to production units to prevent unplanned line stoppages.
- Reduce write-offs by managing material expiration.
- Conduct stock counts and investigate variances.
- Create and manage internal orders and arrange shunting transport.
- Ensure compliance with SARS rebate requirements.
- Manage weighbridge operations and ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Drive safety and environmental compliance.
- Ensure adherence to FSSC 22000, MARSH, FRC, and CSA standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG.
