Job Purpose:
To assist the Store Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the store and maintaining service excellence by driving sales and fostering customer loyalty. This role plays a key part in achieving sales, profit, and compliance targets, ensuring a competitive advantage for the brand.
Job Objectives:

Drive and maximize the store’s financial performance by executing promotional activities, cross-selling, up-selling, and delivering superior customer service across the store team.

Efficiently manage store operations, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage control, general housekeeping, and administration.

Ensure successful in-store visual merchandising that aligns with brand standards, maintaining store presentation and promotional displays.

Support the Store Manager in motivating and guiding staff to achieve performance targets, and manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Assist the Store Manager with maintaining daily work schedules in line with the Group’s labor policy, ensuring all departments are adequately staffed.

Implement customer service initiatives that enhance the customer experience, foster customer loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.

Handle administrative tasks efficiently, ensuring that time and attendance, along with employee records, are complete and submitted to HR.

Uphold the brand’s position as the first-choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company’s core values.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:

Essential: Grade 12 with 50% in Maths and English

Essential: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (for external applicants)

Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an assistant store management role within a retail or FMCG environment, or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme

Experience in financial management, including working with budgets, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios.
