Job Summary:
Rand Water invites undergraduate students passionate about contributing to the water sector to apply for the 2025 External Bursary Program. This opportunity supports students in specific disciplines critical to the industry.
Fields of Study:
- B Comm Accounting/Finance: 3rd Year (x1)
- B Comm Corporate Communication: 2nd Year (x1)
- BSc Hons Microbiology: 2nd Year (x1)
- BSc Chemistry: 2nd Year (x2)
- BSc (Chem Eng/Chem/Biochem): 3rd Year (x2)
- BSc Hons Hydrology/Modeling: 4th Year (x1)
- BSc Natural Science (Environmental Education): 3rd Year (x2)
- Diploma Electrical: 2nd Year (x2)
- B Eng Maintenance Engineering: 2nd Year (x3)
- B Eng Mechanical Engineering: 2nd Year (x3)
- Diploma Instruments and Process Control: 2nd Year (x2)
- B Com Economics: 2nd and 3rd Year (x2)
Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizen.
- Previously disadvantaged individuals (ACI).
- Passed Matric or equivalent and currently enrolled in one of the listed fields of study.
- Maintain a minimum average of 65% in major subjects.
- Must not hold any other bursary or funding.
- Under the age of 35.
- Enrolled full-time at a registered and recognized tertiary institution.
Required Documents:
- Certified copy of your ID.
- Certified copy of your Matric Certificate.
- Latest academic record.
- Proof of registration or acceptance letter from your university.
Primary Duties:
- Successfully complete your qualification within the agreed timeframe as outlined in the Bursary Contract/Agreement.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Understanding Rand Water’s mandate and its role in the water sector.
Skills Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attitude Required:
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
