The Role
As a QA Tester, your key responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning and Strategy:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on product requirements.
- Define the scope of testing, objectives, and deliverables.
- Determine testing approaches, techniques, and tools.
- Prioritize testing based on risk factors.
- Product Testing and Execution:
- Approach testing with a focus on UX/UI and functionality.
- Create detailed test cases that cover multiple scenarios and product conditions.
- Execute test cases, record results, and accurately report defects.
- Integrate test data and environment setup into test cases.
- Monitor test execution progress and communicate issues to relevant teams.
- Bug Tracking:
- Identify, document, and track defects using a bug-tracking system.
- Prioritize bugs based on severity and product impact.
- Provide clear steps for reproducing issues in bug reports.
- Work with development teams to resolve issues and validate fixes.
- Test Automation (Secondary Focus):
- Identify test cases for automation and maintain automated test scripts with technical support.
- Execute automated tests and report failures.
- Continuously update test automation scripts based on product changes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Propose and implement improvements to testing techniques, tools, and documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in QA practices.
- Share best practices with the QA team to foster continuous learning.
- Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration:
- Use your QA expertise to guide the team in decision-making.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders for effective communication.
- Continuously upskill the team in industry trends and tools to improve effectiveness.
Requirements:
- ISTQB Certification.
- 2+ years of experience in software or website testing.
- Experience with management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing (preferred).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
