Anova Vacancies – Project Manager

Anova Health Institute NPC is a leading health-focused NGO dedicated to improving the quality of life and health outcomes in communities. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage the implementation of the Integrated Health and Wellness Community-Based Services (IHWCBS) project. This role requires a professional with strong project management skills to coordinate comprehensive community services, ensuring strategic integration, program coordination, and healthcare improvements across the district/sub-district/nodes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all Anova Health Institute program activities within the assigned district/sub-district/nodes.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with government departments, staff, and other stakeholders for effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Work with the Department of Health (DOH) to implement Community-Oriented Primary Care (COPC) policy in all nodes.
  • Coordinate project implementation in healthcare facilities, communities, schools, and other designated areas in line with DOH requirements.
  • Manage a diverse team to ensure efficient project delivery and achievement of program goals.
  • Organize and lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project outputs against DOH targets and provide recommendations for Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
  • Ensure proper record-keeping, timely submission of leave forms and timesheets, and maintain equipment inventory.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support quality audits and implement corrective measures based on findings.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Nursing with registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in public health, social development, or related fields with expertise in community care and HIV/AIDS.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams and delivering successful projects.
  • Experience in primary healthcare services, including HIV/TB/S2TI, home-based care, and community programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Western Cape Department of Health community programs, rules, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
