Job Description
Truworths is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team in Darling. This role is essential in helping build a world-class manufacturing operation. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Darling CMT, ensuring on-time and in-full deliveries, managing staff, and driving both efficiency and quality in production processes.
Key Responsibilities

Review the factory production schedule and ensure alignment to meet production requirements.

Schedule production across various manufacturing lines to optimize efficiency.

Ensure that planned products align with the capabilities of the manufacturing lines.

Drive production efforts to meet on-time and in-full customer delivery expectations.

Effectively communicate production concerns and manage expectations with operations and planning teams.

Manage internal teams to ensure orders are produced on time and in full.

Standardize planning SOPs within Truworths’ manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with work study teams by providing technical information such as line balancing and production layouts.

Assist with setting operational targets in conjunction with work study teams.

Monitor production targets and implement measures to meet those goals.

Identify areas for improvement within production processes.

Troubleshoot problems and create preventative measures to avoid recurring issues.

Foster a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Use production reports to provide input into continuous improvement efforts.

Communicate delivery status and potential capacity constraints on a regular basis.

Report on factory performance daily to ensure transparency and accountability.

Identify shifts in product requirements and assist in drawing up training and action plans to adjust production capacity accordingly, such as when there is a shift in commodities.
Qualifications and Experience

Diploma in Clothing Management or Production Management is advantageous.

10+ years of experience in production management.

Must have managed multiple production lines.

Valid driver’s license and own transport required.
Competencies

Lean manufacturing experience.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Excel and production-related software.
