Job Advert Summary:
Clover is seeking a Planner: Supply Channel to join our Supply Chain Planning team at our Head Office in Roodepoort. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal stock levels in CDCs and effective production planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Develop and manage rough cut production plans and warehousing, including daily production plans with a minimum horizon of 21 days and weekly plans rolling over 12 weeks. Upload and manage these plans in the KMR system for procurement.
- Communication: Coordinate with factories for shift adjustments based on demand trends and production needs. Communicate effectively regarding additional volumes, new product launches, and procurement lead times.
- Space Management: Identify and address space bottlenecks, ensuring sufficient network space and optimal stock levels. Analyze batch sizes, shelf-life requirements, and their impact on product supply and warehouse space.
- Stock Optimization: Plan and maintain optimal stock levels for semi-finished and finished goods to meet predefined customer service levels. Address short-dated stock issues and collaborate with the Demand team to limit stock write-offs.
- Network Planning: Optimize the supply network to ensure stock freshness and cost-efficiency. Determine the most cost-effective supply channels and factory locations, balancing trade-offs between supply locations and stock freshness.
- Reporting: Provide accurate, detailed reports on supply channel performance, including obsolete stock, constraints, and potential supply problems. Ensure monthly consolidated reporting and effective communication of channel information.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Experience: Relevant experience in applying supply chain concepts, techniques, and processes.
