Job Advert Summary:

Clover is seeking a Planner: Demand to join our Supply Chain Planning department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining product forecasts for various customer groups. This role is essential in ensuring accurate demand planning and optimizing inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting:
    • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly demand forecasts for Clover and/or Principals.
    • Generate statistical forecasts, review exceptions, clean historical data, validate assumptions, and analyze variances between expected and actual results.
    • Facilitate monthly rolling demand plans by product group, SKU, and SKU family.
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Principals, and Key Accounts to gather market intelligence and adjust forecasts accordingly.
    • Monitor and adjust demand plans daily, weekly, and monthly, taking corrective actions as needed.
    • Track and analyze promotional activities, volumes, and dates, and present findings to the multi-disciplinary team.
    • Develop and track holiday planning forecasts, collaborating with Supply Planners on upcoming promotions and product launches.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Create, analyze, and communicate reports on order fill rates, forecast errors, and SKU trends.
    • Generate reports on new product listings and discontinuations, facilitating solutions as necessary.
    • Conduct trend analysis and communicate potential regional variations in demand.
    • Run weekly forecast error reports and promotional tracking reports, providing actionable insights.
  • Inventory Optimization:
    • Calculate and communicate ideal buffer stocks based on forecast accuracy levels.
    • Determine and communicate minimum and maximum order quantities.
    • Manage stock reports, address overstocks, and take corrective actions to optimize inventory levels.
  • Master Data Maintenance:
    • Maintain supply chain planning master data, including creating new items, phasing out discontinued items, and managing distribution relationships.
    • Ensure accurate setup of days to trade (DTT) and primary distribution days.
    • Manage factory per branch item master data.
  • New Product Launches:
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Trade Marketing teams on new product launches.
    • Analyze similar products to generate region-specific forecasts.
    • Monitor, action, and report on new launch projects, adjusting forecasts based on product trends.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in demand planning, with expertise in applying job-related concepts, techniques, and processes. Experience working with senior management is essential.
