Truworths offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Planner to join our Buying/Planning teams at our Head Office in Cape Town. In this role, you will utilize the latest industry merchandise systems to engage in sales forecasting, financial management, and strategic product planning. The ideal candidate will be solution-oriented and enjoy tackling complex problems. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the profitability and efficient servicing of stores by managing all aspects of merchandise planning, from product inception to delivery. You will work closely with various teams, such as distribution and store design, to ensure successful product execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with fashion Merchandise Buyers and suppliers to plan product lines.
• Utilize both international systems and bespoke in-house systems for planning.
• Ensure the right product mix reaches the right stores at the right price and time.
Qualifications and Experience
• 3+ years of experience, preferably in a fashion retail environment.
• A relevant numerical tertiary qualification.
• Experience with systems such as Oracle, ProClarity, and PLM is advantageous.
