Job Description:
Food Lovers Market is seeking a dedicated Picker to join our warehouse team. As a Picker, you will be responsible for storing materials, picking, packing, and scanning orders. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficiency, increasing profitability, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Picker, your daily tasks will include:
- Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to the scheduled timeline (loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping)
- Receiving and processing warehouse stock (picking, unloading, labeling, and storing)
- Performing inventory control and maintaining high-quality standards for audits
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment while optimizing space utilization
- Completing daily inventory logs
- Reporting any discrepancies in orders or stock
- Communicating and cooperating with supervisors and co-workers for smooth operations
- Operating and maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment with preventive care
- Adhering to quality service standards and compliance with all procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements:
To be considered for this Picker role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Proficiency in English
- Reside within 25 km of the job location
- Clear criminal record
Preferences:
While not mandatory, previous experience in a warehouse setting or as a picker would be an advantage.
