Job Purpose:
To ensure the efficient operation of both the dispensary and the clinic, delivering service excellence by leading the pharmacy team in providing high standards of pharmaceutical care. This will involve meeting sales and compliance targets, contributing to the competitive advantage of the brand.
Job Objectives:

Provide high standards of pharmaceutical care, ensuring accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and offering advice in line with Clicks’ way of working, good pharmacy practice, and the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

Manage and control all operational activities of the dispensary, including responsible stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration in compliance with merchandising, SAPC regulations, and company standards.

Ensure the operational viability of the dispensary through sound financial management, focusing on core dispensary and clinic targets, managing expenses, and proactively taking appropriate actions as needed.

Lead and motivate employees, including learners and interns, through effective recruitment, leadership, management, and continuous development to build capacity and capability for meeting current and future business needs.

Schedule staff in alignment with the labour policy and relevant labour model to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Ensure accurate time and attendance records are submitted to HR.

Drive customer service initiatives in the dispensary that result in an excellent customer experience, foster customer loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.

Integrate and collaborate with the clinic and healthcare aisle, ensuring a comprehensive healthcare offering for customers.

Drive cohesion and consistency across the store operation, pharmacy, and clinic teams.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Education and Experience Requirements:

Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC

Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience post-community service year

Essential: Minimum 1 year of people management experience

Essential: Registration with SAPC as the Responsible Pharmacist

Desirable: Retail Pharmacy experience
